Seoul, July 12, 2025 – Beamo, a leading global provider of digital twin and spatial intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce that its innovative solutions were featured in a key session at the "2025 Unmanned System World Congress (UWC 2025)," held from July 9 to 11, 2025, at COEX Hall C.

This expo, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Ministry of National Defense, aimed to present the current status and future vision of the unmanned systems industry. It was a prestigious event, the largest of its kind in Korea, bringing together industry leaders such as Mobilio, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), LIG Nex1, and Hyundai Rotem to showcase cutting-edge unmanned mobile technologies and diverse application cases.

Mobilio CEO on Beamo's Contribution: The Forefront of Intelligent Quadruped Robot Utilization

During the "Utilization of Intelligent 4-legged Robots" session on Day 2 of the expo, Mobilio's CEO Lee Jin-sik, a renowned figure in the robotics industry, took the stage to elaborate on how Beamo's solutions are contributing to the future of quadruped robots.

In a 20-minute presentation titled "AI-powered Quadrupedal Walking," the CEO highlighted the immense potential of quadruped robots in scenarios where human access is difficult, such as suppressing forest fires and building fires. Their mobility and environmental adaptability are expected to play a central role in future disaster response.

However, the CEO also candidly pointed out the current challenges faced by quadruped robots. Specifically, these include rapid battery depletion (requiring a minimum of 3-4 hours of operation for practical use) and the risk of loss of control from the central command center due to communication loss. These obstacles have been significant barriers to the widespread practical application of robots.

As a solution to these challenges, Mobilio's CEO emphasized the importance of "communication" that links robotic dogs, drones, and satellites. Furthermore, he stated that "prior map recognition" through digital twins is paramount. This accurate environmental awareness is essential for robots to move autonomously and reliably perform their missions in complex outdoor environments.

Beamo and Mobilio's Partnership Demonstrates the Reality of Autonomous Quadruped Robot Operation

A highlight of the presentation was the unveiling of a video demonstrating autonomous quadruped robot operation, made possible through the partnership between Beamo and Mobilio. This video clearly indicated the critical role Beamo's high-precision digital twin solution plays in robot navigation and environmental recognition.

Our digital twin technology constructs a virtual space that faithfully replicates the real world, enabling robots to recognize and map that environment in real-time. This provides a foundation for robots to accurately identify their location, navigate optimal paths, and perform missions autonomously, even in situations with unstable communication.

The collaboration with Mobilio has proven that our technology significantly expands the possibilities for robot utilization in disaster response, infrastructure inspection, and various other fields where human access has traditionally been difficult.
